When we speak of a "Full Scribe Log Home", we mean a log house in a "classic" design. After removing the bark, the individual natural logs are provided on the underside with a kind of notch, the "lateral groove", which fits exactly on the underlying log and thus ensures maximum tightness. At the respective corner points of the log house, corner notches are created. In the course of the history of log house construction, various corner combing techniques have more or less proven their worth - here are e.g. the "saddle notch" and the "dovetail notch". We have specialized in the optically most beautiful and technically complex, albeit of the highest quality corner combing technology, further developed it and present the:

Scribing
With scribing, the surface texture is drawn with millimeter accuracy from the lower to the upper log. This serves as an exact plan for later cutting work.
Lateral Grooves
The lateral grooves are notches along the log and are cut exactly to the log below. Much of the insulation material used later is integrated here.
Diamond Notch
The diamond notch is a diamond-cut-looking notch and is used for corner interlocking of the individual natural logs. Although it is more complex to manufacture than other notches, it delivers the best possible results in log house construction in the areas of settlement behavior, tightness, durability and appearance. Few people worldwide master this age-old technique of corner combing in its perfection.
Shrink-to-fit
All of the manufacturing techniques we use are tailored to the radial, tangential and longitudinal shrinkage that occurs during the drying of the wood. Only through these variances, which we have calculated precisely in advance, an error-free setting is guaranteed.
Airtight
The handcrafted log homes we manufacture are almost airtight thanks to the above-mentioned techniques and our many years of experience. We can proudly say that we have achieved the maximum of what is technically possible.
